The Fawzooz Blueprint

The Book’s Approach

1 min read2 of 38Read it in the book · page 4

In the name of Allah, and upon Allah I rely, guided by His words in Surat Al-Shams:

﴿ وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا ﴿٧﴾ فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا ﴿٨﴾ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا ﴿٩﴾ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا ﴿١٠﴾ ﴾

“By the soul and He who proportioned it, and inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness: he has succeeded who purifies it, and he has failed who corrupts it.” (91:7–10)

I came to realise that life’s true journey lies in striving to purify this soul that Allah has placed within us.

This book is nothing more than a humble attempt and a personal effort on that path, the path of purifying and refining the soul, hoping that Allah accepts it and, by His grace, makes me and you among the successful whom He mentions in His Book.

As I explore ideas of emotional and spiritual self-building and of designing life’s paths, I affirm that the highest reference and final judge is the noble Shari‘ah of Allah.

Every idea, tool or concept in this book must first be weighed on that scale: what agrees with it is taken, and whatever seems to conflict with it or stray from its path should be flagged and set aside without hesitation.

I ask Allah to guide us to the straight path, to make this modest effort beneficial, to inspire me with what is right and grant me sincerity, and to accept our good deeds.
