Story 02 · The Beginning
2A Spiritual Start with Prayer and Reflection

Fawzooz decided to deepen his commitment to the blessed beginnings that make a difference to the day. He knew well that blessing lies in the first hours of the day, as the Prophet’s sayings teach, and so he began his journey toward a more productive and spiritual morning. In the quiet darkness before dawn, he started waking half an hour before his usual time, giving himself enough time to pray the dawn prayer in congregation. After the prayer he would sit quietly and read verses of the Qur’an with deep reflection, drawing from them wisdom and lessons for his day.
Every morning, after this spiritual reading, he set aside a few minutes for reflection, writing down his thoughts and the lessons he had drawn from the verses. Then he did some light exercise to wake up his body and mind. After that, he planned his day in detail, arranging tasks and priorities in a way that protected his focus and productivity. This change to his morning routine not only improved his energy and concentration, but made him feel more ready for the day’s challenges. Planning ahead lowered his stress, making his days smoother and more effective.
“Rising early and connecting with the Creator in the first hours of the day opens the doors of blessing in time, deepens a person’s roots in certainty and peace, and gives them strength to cross the day with confidence and achievement.”
Fawzooz discovered that the morning is not just the start of the day, but a chance to connect with God and with oneself. He felt that these early hours gave him the spiritual and mental strength to give and achieve all day long. Recognising this blessing in the morning made him value every moment, using quiet, blessed mornings to make the most of his day, strengthening both his spirituality and his productivity in a way that reflects the guidance of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and the teachings of Islam.
