Story 02 · The Vision
2Setting a Vision for His Life

As the days passed, Fawzooz felt small changes in his daily life thanks to the creativity appearing in every corner of it. But despite this growing satisfaction, he realised he needed clearer direction. It wasn’t enough to live day by day; he wanted his life to have an overall vision, something to strive for, a purpose to move him. One night, sitting in his dimly lit study with pen and notebook, he decided to begin defining a vision for his life. He knew it wouldn’t be easy, and that the vision wouldn’t be clear from the start, but it would be a compass for his new journey.
He began by writing down the questions in his mind: “What makes me wake up excited every morning? What do I want to achieve in the next five years? How do I want people to remember me in twenty years?” He knew answering them would take deep reflection. He thought about his past achievements and the things that made him proud. He remembered the moments he felt he had offered something of value. But he also remembered the times he felt sluggish or lost, and knew avoiding those feelings required more clarity of direction.
“I want to live a life full of creativity and balance.”
Fawzooz divided his life into areas: work, relationships, health and emotions, and asked himself his vision for each. For work, he wanted to be someone who made a difference, helping people grow and discover their abilities. For relationships, he wanted deep, lasting bonds built on support and communication. For his health, he decided his vision would include caring more for his body and soul, through regular exercise and attention to his mental and emotional health. He didn’t only want to succeed at work or be liked by others; he wanted a balanced life, finding happiness and ease in every part of it.
At the bottom of the page Fawzooz wrote: “I want to live a life full of creativity and balance. I want to be someone who helps change others’ lives for the better, and to live with inner peace and calm.” This sentence was the seed of his new vision. In that moment he felt he had laid the foundation of an overall vision for his life. It wasn’t final, of course, but it was a starting point, one that pointed him forward and helped him make decisions with more clarity and confidence.
