5The Power of Delegation and Automation

Fawzooz woke on the eleventh day full of enthusiasm to explore new ideas in pursuit of a balanced life combining work and worship. He reflected that every effort should be for the sake of God and lead to good intentions. He decided to apply the principle of working smart, not only hard. From the noble saying, “The strong believer is better and more beloved to God than the weak believer,” he drew the idea of strength through delegation and automation. He delegated lesser tasks to those better placed to do them, and automated processes that could run without his constant involvement, so he could direct his energy to what mattered more. He found in delegation a chance not only to free his time, but to empower others and give them the confidence to take responsibility. And through automation he embodied his faith’s teaching of seeking the most effective, efficient ways of working. In this way he gave himself more time for worship, reflection, learning and growth. As the days passed, Fawzooz became more aware of the importance of managing time, seeing time as a blessing to be spent on good and righteous deeds.
So financial and time freedom were no longer merely worldly goals, but means of achievement and of drawing nearer to God. At the end of the eleventh day, Fawzooz learned a valuable lesson: balance between work and personal life is the heart of lasting success and happiness, and automation and delegation are not only ways to increase efficiency, but also an expression of trust in others’ abilities and a desire to empower them, all while holding to the Islamic ethics and principles that call for excellence, justice and sharing.
“Smart work and effective delegation open the door to a balanced life that unites material achievement with spiritual growth, where every effort becomes a path to drawing near to God and serving humanity with high morals.”
