Story 03 · Time and Money
3Lawful Wealth, Blessing and Growth

Fawzooz set out on a new quest to nourish his mind and soul with financial knowledge drawn from Islamic values and ethics, delving into financial education and exploring the horizons of lawful provision and blessing in wealth. He resolved to arm himself with knowledge and action, learning to distinguish between assets that grow and bear fruit, and liabilities that weigh one down and cloud one’s peace. As his faith had taught him, he did not seek earnings alone, but good earnings that please the Creator and benefit His creation. With every coin he spent, he looked for a way to make it an ongoing charity or a blessed investment that would benefit him and his community.
And in every decision he made, he considered the impact it would leave on his family, his community and his nation. As the days passed, Fawzooz felt spiritual and financial security flowing into his life. Wealth for him was no longer just accumulating riches; it came to mean being content with what God had given him of His bounty, with contentment and generosity. By evening, Fawzooz found himself before the mirror of soul and money, reflecting that true wealth is not in the numbers filling bank accounts, but in the balance filling the scale of good deeds.
“True wealth is not measured in piled-up money, but in the contentment and generosity that fill the heart and soul; lawful earnings and spending on good build the foundation of a rich and meaningful life.”
He learned that lawful provision and spending in good causes enrich not only the pocket, but the heart and soul. Fawzooz learned a precious lesson about balanced spiritual and material wealth, and how he could live a complete life strengthened by financial education in harmony with the teachings of his faith.
