Story 08 · The Creator’s Habits
8Embracing Everyday Creativity

Aware of the importance of weaving creativity into every part of daily life, Fawzooz decided to adopt several strategies to keep innovation flowing, both at work and in his personal life.
Embracing everyday creativity. Fawzooz began his day by writing morning pages, recording his thoughts in a free flow. The habit not only cleared his mind, but gave him inspiration to start the day with energy and creativity. He also used his daily commute for observation and reflection, which kept him off his phone and stimulated creative thinking.
“Creativity is not a big event, but a small habit every day.”
Nurturing creativity at work. At the office, Fawzooz organised “idea lunches”, where the team gathered to discuss new ideas in a relaxed setting. He also set creative challenges, such as finding new uses for office supplies, fostering an innovative, interactive workplace.
The role of rest and play. Fawzooz understood the importance of balancing work and rest, so he made time for activities like drawing and listening to the Qur’an, which renewed his energy and sparked his creativity. These activities strengthened his mental health and were also a source of new ideas.
Long-term creative practices. Fawzooz committed to continuous learning through courses and workshops, which kept new ideas coming and broadened his horizons. He also kept a regular journal, recording his experiences and thoughts, a rich source of inspiration that deepened his understanding of his own creative process.
Through these strategies, Fawzooz not only strengthened his creative abilities but improved the quality of his daily life, confirming that creativity is not just moments of inspiration, but a way of life that can be woven into every part of the day.
