What you leave the first degree holding

We have cleared the ground. You have not yet learned how the machine works, you have produced nothing with it, and you have not protected yourself from it. But you now know exactly where you are standing, and that alone separates you from most of the people reading in this field.

The second degree builds on that ground. It covers how a machine learns, how language models "think", and why they manage to be so confidently wrong — and it does all of that without a single equation to frighten you.
