Why the mind, and why now?

1 min read2 of 11

Have you ever felt your mind was working against you? Racing thoughts, endless tasks, and worry that steals your sleep. You are not alone; this is a storm many people live through in an age of speed.

In this issue and the next, we accompany Fawzooz through his hardest days, alone in a hotel room, talking with his AI coach, “NourFi”. With her he first learns to understand the storm: a fast mind without brakes, and a body that records every tension. Then he learns the tools of cognitive behavioural therapy: to catch negative thoughts, put them on fair trial, and defeat the dragon of procrastination.

These stories are not a substitute for a professional, but a companion on the way to one.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fawzi Elgendi
