Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fawzi Elgendi

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fawzi Elgendi is an Egyptian engineer who grew up in a village in Dakahlia and now works from Dubai as Chief AI Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. He has spent some twenty years across systems engineering, information security and AI governance, and in 2026 he earned his doctorate from Dunster Business School in human-centric AI governance and cognitive security.

For that doctorate he built the Unified Cognitive Security Maturity Model (UCSMM) on a field study of 212 organisational leaders, so that any leader can measure how well their organisation protects a decision once a machine takes part in it. He then carried the same idea to the network in The Cognitive SASE Architecture, to the individual employee in The Cognitive Firewall, and to software teams in Vibe Orchestration, and he released the InnovaForge innovation framework under an open licence for anyone to use.

He also founded the Wise AI Ambassador, an Arabic programme given as a waqf, free for everyone, of six degrees and thirty-four units that takes a reader from zero to leading a team where people and machines work side by side. Everything he writes comes back to one question: how do we protect human judgement in a world where machines now share the decision?
